La Storia 2
  • 1975: Paolo begins working at MacTac Italia, self-adhesive films, as Sales Director. He takes Mactac from 2 billion lire in revenue with 800,000 in losses to 17 billion lire with approximately 4 billion in profit, and builds the distribution network.

MVR SRL

La Storia 3

1992: Paolo founds MVR srl together with his family. In addition to reselling branded self-adhesive films (Intheradesive, Ritrama, MacTac, PoliMark), they become exclusive distributors in Italy for Souvereign Projects B.V. — a company discovered through Patrick Michel (former Mactac Product Manager in Belgium) and led by Joaquin Ricoh, who would become a close friend and mentor to Dario and Damiano. It was the first company on the continent to have a digital printing drum — the largest and fastest of its time. Scaffold cover banner production is their core business, supplying companies such as Cittabella, Italtriest, SanFilippo, Alessi and many others, becoming leaders in super wide format digital printing.

1999-2003

D

GIGAIMAGE SRL

La Storia 4
  • 1999: The Rossetti family merges MVR srl into Gigaimage srl, a company made up of 10 shares held by 10 partners, three of whom are Paolo, Dario and Damiano, while the other seven are brought in through Manfredini, owner of Fotorent and a long-standing client and friend of Paolo. Manfredini does not become a direct partner but divides his share among seven trusted individuals. Paolo serves as Chairman of the Board and commercial driving force, Dario handles purchasing and internal sales front end, Damiano oversees production and logistics. Gigaimage acquires the fifth 5-metre digital printing machine to arrive in Italy, and becomes the first company in Italy in the super wide format sector to install an HF welder with a 16-metre table, specially designed for effective low-overlap welds (just 2cm) and an eyelet system using VL70 eyelets instead of tumbled aluminium in nickel-plated brass. Within a couple of years it becomes one of the leaders in digital printing for scaffolding covers, while also expanding into the trade fair installation world, supplying companies such as Ferrari Promotion, Way Allestimenti, Tecnostand, GammaAllestimenti as well as NeonRadelme, Ripamonti Pubblicità, Tmc Pubblicità, and continuing with Italtriest and Cittabella.
  • 2001: The first theatrical scenic backdrop in the world of opera is produced for Maestro Edoardo Sanchi: 4 backdrops for Ascanio in Alba, created for the Teatro di Piacenza, printed and finished on Colorado material (unstructured PVC film for projection screens)
  • 2003: following a series of misunderstandings and events within the Fotorent shareholder group, the Rossetti family decides to leave Gigaimage and independently relaunches Rossetti Group srl.

GENERATIONAL CHANGE AND TRAINING

  • 2015: Damiano begins giving lectures at secondary schools and academies on digital printing, and organises courses for graphic designers and printers as well as students and retailers on printing and its applications
  • 2018: Damiano is contacted by Polidesign and for 4–5 years delivers lectures on digital printing and its possible applications in the world of customisation and artistic reproduction.

SPECIALISATION AND CONSULTANCY

La Storia 6
  • 2023: Walter Asti joins the company as a partner — formerly co-owner of Ecartellonistica, a leading company in the self-adhesive pre-spaced lettering sector with over 30 years of activity
  • To this day: Rossetti Group srl has increasingly focused on "demanding" markets, where expertise, precision and quality must be upheld without compromise, choosing to serve only those clients who accept no shortcuts on product quality. The experience accumulated over the years drives us to recognise that much remains to be discovered, and that machines and materials designed for one purpose can often be applied to others. The expertise gained in materials, technologies, inks and their possible combinations has allowed Rossetti Group srl to take on an advisory role within complex projects, often providing effective answers even where none existed.
